You can manage the storage of all the content that is created on Workplace (posts and comments). Configure data retention to define how long Workplace posts and comments are stored in Workplace.
Note: Data retention on Harbor ensures your organization's privacy compliance is respected in countries where data protection regulations require organizations to delete personal information after a set amount of time.
The retention period is counted from the last comment of a post.
For example: You have configured a 15-day retention period and today is the 14th day after a post was created. If someone adds a comment to the post today, the retention period is reset to 15 days from today. The data will be removed from Workplace after the retention period.
To configure data retention:
1. Select Workplace governance > Data retention in the left panel.
2. Activate the Enable retention period switch.
Note: If you have Multi-company groups in your community, activate the "Enable MCGs" switch, to delete posts and comments from everyone in multi-company groups. This action is allowed only if a member of your community belongs to the Multi-company group in the role of admin.
Tip: You can activate the data retention feature in Multi-company groups, deleting the posts made by external people; by default data retention will not be applied to Multi-company groups but the user can enable the feature.
4. Enter the number of days.
5. Press Save.
